The T818 racing wheel ushered in Thrustmaster’s new quick attachment system allowing for simplified wheel rim changing in just 5 seconds, even during the course of a game. Quick Release Upgrade lets gamers convert Thrustmaster wheel rims to this new standard so that they’re compatible with T818 and future Thrustmaster bases. Screwed directly into the wheel rim, this attachment system ensures unfiltered transmission of effects and enhances Force Feedback feel.

List of compatible wheel rims below. For wheel rims not compatible with Quick Release Upgrade, Quick Release Adapter is available as a non-permanent and removable solution, allowing all Thrustmaster wheel rims to be used on T818.
